WIP: Clawdeen's boots ver.2 by kasaikun16 WIP: Clawdeen's boots ver.2 by kasaikun16
WIP of Clawdeen Wolf's boots version 2.0 hehe! The previous one I used was borrowed from *suigeneres but she had to get them back so I had to buy one for my own this time.

photo 1) 6 pairs of 1/2" slippers (for left and right) to make a 7"inch platform heels.
photo 2) 1/4" width white rubber sheet to cover it up
photo 3) spray-painted in black, cooled-off for 24hours
photo 4) added the straps and buckles

As advised by :icondukesawolf:, her guidance was such a big help! She also did the same to her Lagoona Blue footwear: [link] thanks so much ate!! It looked wobbly on the exterior, but it was very comfortable to wear and I didn't trip throughout the whole event at all! :D

Will post more photos from our Monster High Grand media launch soon~! :meow:

how did you glue the platforms onto the sole of the boot?? what kind of glue did you use?
kasaikun16 Featured By Owner Dec 29, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
just your average all-purpose super glue :D
if you want a stable stick, find one that is applicable to rubber material

im curious, what are the slippers made of/where can i get the slipper pieces? because to me the slipper pieces look like flip-flops and im getting so confused about what they actually are! can you please explain this to me and unconfuse my brain? ^^'

haha yes, slippers are categorized in two:
1) some house slippers are made of soft terry fabric (used in towels) or wool. they cover half the feet for comfort purposes. they look like this:…
2) flipflops are the thong-type where the whole foot is visible. the sole is made of EVA rubberfoam. they look like this:…

both types are called Slippers nationwide. I'd like to use flipflops coz' it separates the description better. i thin you can find these flipflops in our local department stores
hope that helps~! :meow:

waaw, thank you for sharing xD
anyway, can you tell us how to cover the slippers with sheet? Does it need special pattern or you just wrap it up then cut here and there?

haha yea basically that's what i did! but you can do two things:

1) on the sheet, trace the part where you will be wrapping the slippers, cut the traced line and stick it on.
2) glue the sheet on already, then trace/cut the outline of your heels.
