Vixen possesses the innate ability to make direct contact with the Earth's morphogenetic field, which is sometimes known as the "Red". This contact with the "Red" allows Vixen to mimic the abilities of any animal, by simply focusing on a specific animal's abilities and then drawing it directly from the field.

I was invited to join a new group of friends from the Justice League America PH group!! This was the one I mentioned last Father's day, the group I was supposed to join but my costume didn't make it in time. I have always admired their group, they built up quite an impressive reputation in the community and the awesome cast they have. So honored to finally be a part of it! :D

I cast as Mari Jiwe McCabe aka Vixen, an African-jungle girl with the powers to mimic its mother nature's creatures. What I enjoyed the most, our group attracted big families of young and old. Because JLA was every child's memory, as well as mine. I wish my dad could've seen this! :glomp:

so i was told indeed. :D every photo i see takes me to a Haley Berry reference :lmao: but my friends in the JLA group was really happy as well, bcoz' almost everyone wanted Wonderwoman or Halkgirl but not Vixen. She's actually a very awesome character~!

Was this costume hard to make? I had so much fun this year at the NYCC, I was thinking of doing a Cosplay for my Daughter & her friend. Two ideas I had was 1. A Young Justice version of Vixen & Bumblebee or 2. Vixen & female Black Panther. Sorta DC vs Marvel. Granted i've never done anything like this before so it may take me a whole year to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

not at all, since this was my second time to work w/ spandex. just make sure the fabric you buy is a two-way stretch. There two version you can do for Vixen:

1) gold bodysuit is based on the cartoon (has collar & arm bands)
2) yellow bodysuit is based on the comics (it has no collar & no armbands but she has gold bangles)
